During the 2001 Advent season, our Deacons commenced a distinctive and meaningful project to spread the Christian faith in the Toledo Community. At that time, we did not realize this wonderful journey would touch the lives of so many. Our Deacons discovered that many dialysis patients in the Northwest Ohio area had to choose between medicine and food. In conjunction with the Dialysis Centers of Northwest Ohio, Glendale Presbyterian Church has given financial and tangible gifts to many families in the Toledo area. Since the inception of this program, we have consistently increased the amount of money raised to positively impact those most needing our help. One hundred percent of all money raised during the Advent season is given to dialysis patients. Although our church has had many choices to finance various Christian ministry projects, this one project has touched the hearts and purse strings of our congregants. We will continue to vigorously support this mission in the future for the need is great. This annual program sets Glendale Presbyterian Church above all others and demonstrates our commitment to spreading God’s love, faith and hope to all persons here in our community.
