Glendale Presbyterian Church proudly supports One Great Hour of Sharing
One Great Hour of Sharing is made up of three parts:
1) Presbyterian Hunger Program – works to alleviate hunger and eliminate its causes, responding with compassion and justice to poor and hungry people in local communities in the United States and internationally.
2) Self-Development of People – works to help empower the economically poor, oppressed and disadvantaged people who are seeking to change the structures that perpetuate poverty, oppression and injustice.
3) Presbyterian Disaster Assistance – focuses on the long term recovery of disaster impacted communities.
Some other facts about the mission:
90% of all giving goes directly to helping people (only 10% covers administrative items). That’s an incredible number compared to other charities.
